A Gypsy Haircut

Who said you have to cut your hair when it's wet? I straightened mine and cut it while dry. 100% easier than trying to cut it wet!

Trimmed the ends, layered the front sides, and touched up my bangs.

I assure you, my hair is not butchered and uneven as it appears on the left. (I had my head tilted and moved more hair on the right side) The ends are definitely more of a blunt cut, but hey, this is only the 2nd haircut I've ever given myself and it's been sporadic over 3 years.

I'll try to post a better picture when my hair is actually styled and I have a touch of makeup on :)

My gingher sewing shears cut like butta.

I was 3 years old the first time I gave myself a new do. We lived in Germany at the time and when my parents left me with a babysitter one night, I crawled up onto the bathroom sink and snip-snip-snipped away. (I'm sure I have a picture somewhere!) In Colorado a few years ago, I was too poor to afford my precious Aveda visits, so one night I got brave and just chopped it. My first official home-haircut and it felt so exhilarating! Plus, my dirty gypsy hair was really tangly nasty and in desperate need of a clean cut.

Have you ever cut your own hair? Would you?

Holy cow, Ang! I can't believe you cut your own hair! That's so awesome, and it looks great! (I also gave myself a haircut in kindergarten - at school the first day we got scissors!)
