Old Barracks Row to Georgetown to Arlington

After the previous day's exploring (here, here and here) and an amazing breakfast to kickoff our second day in DC, we set off to soak up more of the city. This time we wanted to try out the public transit and compare it to NYC's. verdict=less crowded, clean, and easy to navigate

Seriously feels like you're on the set of Star Wars when entering the subway.

On foot again.

So quaint and charming.

This crossing is right before you stumble upon this amazing place, where we had to stop and get some treats.

The waterfront

I must say, this is one of the nicest Dean & Deluca's I've been to. My favorite, by far, is still the one in Leawood Town Center (KC) but this one had so much character and the space was charming.

These caught my eye since we've been catching up on the Madmen craze lately.

So glad we didn't stand in line for Georgetown cupcakes and went here instead.

We had to stop by and say hello to Luke's fellow TNF colleagues.

Georgetown University

Walking across the bridge to Virginia, my birth state.

Loved seeing the random beginnings of fall colors popping out.

DC/VA

We rode the subway again and arrived at 4:45 to find they were already closed :(

So we peeked at what we could see from the fences and paid homage from afar.

Then we stumbled upon some bum's TP. Nice.

Next up, Old Town Alexandria and our last night in DC.
(I'm so behind. We went on this trip over Columbus Day weekend!)
