Our second morning in DC was spent here. The decor reminded me of a bank and the TV above the bar was playing old-school cartoons (awesome). We were told it was going to be a 1 & 1/2 hour wait (huge groan), aaaand, they called our name in a mere 15 minutes (yahoo! big sigh of relief).
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was playing on the projector. Love that movie. As previously mentioned, I can't help getting all ga-ga over tufted anything. Velvet, leather, linen, you name it. If it's tufted, I like it and the benchbacks here were no exception.
Luke was totally digging the kitchen's white subway-tile wall. Hopefully we'll have our own, all white, modern country kitchen someday :)
Luke looks so different to me in this picture, as he's grown a full out beard over the last month! Pictures soon.
Always obsessed with creamer containers.
Luke's favorite breakfast is B&G. Did you know in NYC, it's very rare to see this at Breakfast/Brunch joints? What's up with that? Must be a midwest thing that we took for granted.
I may have caused a small scene by asking for this picture. (Wouldn't you? We had the best seat in the house!) Our waiter (who said he is a photographer outside of waiting tables) took this shot. I would have taken it differently, but that's what happens when you are very particular about your pictures. At least the other waiter was kind enough to attempt getting out of the way. Thanks anyway, waiter!
Pop-tarts, made from scratch.
Go to DC. Eat at Ted's. Do it!

HOMEMADE POP TARTS?! gaaah! and those b&g look yummy! i hope they tasted as good as they looked.
Happy Thanksgiving Ang. This place looks like heaven. I love what Luke had. And so funny that you like tufted anything, me too. Quilted or tufted things draw me in for some reason. You look great, enjoyed this post. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo
