Penny on a Track + Early Jewelry

I am SO in LOVE with this!

Michelle is a fellow Kansan and artist here in Brooklyn. She designs wonderfully unique pieces and the first time I saw them on Penny on a Track, my jaw dropped. I love how they are given character by literally being smashed on train tracks in the states that are inscribed on them. So rad! You may know by now of my obsession with heads up pennies and that I pick them up anywhere and everywhere, literally (like in the filthiest parts of the subway!) So how perfect that a gal from the plains of the midwest (who also made the big move to NYC) is creating whimsical art out of something I adore.

I was recently introduced to Michelle's work from another designer and fellow schoolmate from Kansas, Kylie of Early Jewelry (Penny on a Track is featured on her site). Remember when I went to see her at the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn this summer? She recently moved from Lawrence to Portland and her website just had a little makeover, check it out! Kylie's passion for sustainability and supporting charities makes me proud to support her work even more.
