So I bought this heart shaped egg/pancake mold awhile ago and finally tried it out. I pictured adorable little heart eggs and heart pancakes that I would serve every day. Maybe wearing a cute apron and feeling extra domestic or something.
FAIL!
Did.
Not.
Work.
See below for end result.
I had even anticipated that the curve of the pan might have an effect and took that into account, placing them directly in the middle flat part. No matter!
However, I have mastered my candied bacon recipe and you can bet your bottom dollar that they came out perfectly. YUM. Sweet, salty, chewy and crispy, all in one? There is nothing better in the world other than the perfect chocolate chip cookie.
These don't resemble hearts, but they were delicious nonetheless. And Luke said it was the thought that counts, and really, that's all that matters in the end ♥

I did this by accident one day. Both eggs were shaped in a heart. Love the idea and it looks so good in the end. Hope things are good in NYC and anthro. Let me know how it is going. dawn suitcase vignettes xo
